Cycle path treatment survey

In 2016 a survey was undertaken to establish the extent of cycle path treatment during icy weather. The results are set out in the table below. There is an exception to the data in the table i.e. when a cycleway is part of a carriageway it would normally be treated.

For all except Devon and Bristol the source of the data was from a survey,undertaken by the Highways Department of North Somerset Council

Some authorities treat their cycle paths quite extensively e.g Cambrigeshire.The following map was taken from their web site in April 2017
