5.2.1 Bristol Public Health Survey

The non-collision incidents included in Hospital Episode data(Ref http://www.content.digital.nhs.uk/catalogue/PUB22378) , spreadsheet external causes.xls do not distinguish between the causes of the accidents. In order to determine the causes a survey of over 1000 cyclists was carried by NHS Bristol. The results of this survey were published for the first time as part of the Big Book of Accident Prevention in 2013, a Rospa publication under the title  ‘ROSPA :Delivering accident prevention at local level in the local public health system – Case study : Non collision injuries in Bristol’ .
